TradingView Indicator · How I run it

How I run Unicorn Model - my setup, start to finish.

The settings I keep on, the ones I flip depending on the day, and how I read a sweep into a breaker zone.

00

Quick start

Five steps from a blank chart to the setup I actually trade.

  1. Put it on the chart you execute on, intraday. A 5m or 15m chart lines up with the higher timeframes.
  2. Leave Liquidity Mode on Automatic.
  3. Set Swing Lookback to 5 and Main Target to 2R with the extra lines (1, 3, 5) on.
  4. Set Invalidation Style to Zone Edge and keep the Info Table on, Simple.
  5. Pick one filter at a time, and set alerts last.
Good to know

Gray means inactive. The setup is marked done when the main target hits.

01

Timeframe

Run it on the chart you actually execute on.

Liquidity Mode Automatic
Watches your chart timeframe plus higher timeframes for sweeps. I only go Manual if I want to pick exact timeframes.
Manual defaults 15, 60, 240
When set to Manual, these are the defaults, so a 5m or 15m chart lines up with them.
02

What stays on

The settings I do not touch.

Liquidity Mode Automatic
Stays on Automatic.
Swing Lookback 5
Main Target 2R
With the extra lines (1, 3, 5) on, so I see where partials sit.
Invalidation Style Zone Edge
Info Table on
Simple.
03

What I flip depending on the day

Changed to fit the session.

Unicorn Mode off
Off to see every breaker. On when I only want ones sitting in a Fair Value Gap.
Trade Direction Neutral
Neutral, or Auto from HTF when I want it to follow the higher timeframe.
Limit to Sessions off
Off, or on with Session 1 (09:30 to 12:00 New York) for the morning only.
04

How I read it

Four things, in order.

  1. The sweep label tells me what got taken and from which timeframe.
  2. The zone box is where I care about a retest.
  3. The target lines give me the R ladder. The setup is marked done when the main target hits.
  4. Gray means inactive. Hide After Invalidation clears the dead ones.
05

Clean use list

Keep the chart readable and know the quirks.

Max Setups on Chart 10
Keep it low. Fewer boxes, clearer chart.
Hide After Invalidation on
Turn it on if the chart gets busy.
Filters
Pick one at a time (direction, size, or session) so you know what changed.
Zone Size Filter
Small, Medium and Large overlap a little by design, so a borderline zone can pass two of them.
Zone sizes
Small/Medium/Large scale with ATR. Custom uses fixed points.
Swing Level invalidation
Measures risk to the sweep candle extreme while targets project from the zone edge. The ladder can look off on deep sweeps. That is expected.
Sweep lines
Can show as a short stub if the higher timeframe level has no matching chart bar.
Pending sweeps
A same-direction sweep while one is still pending (20 bars) is ignored until it confirms or expires.
Alerts

Set alerts last. TradingView freezes your settings into the alert when you create it.

06

A clean use

What a readable chart looks like.

  1. Max Setups on Chart kept low (default 10).
  2. Hide After Invalidation on if the chart gets busy.
  3. One filter at a time: direction, size, or session.
